this piece goes after the header

i asked them about final price the day that i got my pipe installed and they said that it is to be determined.. i think that they are in the process of notifying sellers but keep an eye out in the sponsored sales as weapon-r deals direct sometimes on these boards

I am trying to figure out why the springs are mounted between the 2 peices, when the factory springs are mounted on the outside. That is what keeps the tension on the pipes. Now putting the spring between the 2 would keep and try it open right, yet the bolts hold it closed? Seems to me that they would just fight each other.

2 points Jeremy! The springs are currently on the wrong side of the flange to allow for movement under thermal expansion, as well as maintain tension when cold. Oops...

springs are there so when there both fully compressed its even amount of distance tighted on both sides so u cant over tigheten one side and mess up the pipe.

ill be boosted soon...ya know i wont mind if u just install em on my car

Actually, there's a shoulder on the bolt right after the threads to prevent overtightening... It's that way with the tC, so I'm pretty sure it's the same for the xB.

Try again. :D

Could this S-pipe be of any benefit to somebody who wants to keep the stock header, stock cat/resonator, and already has an axle-back system? Could there be a problem with a CEL or passing smog in California? Thanks.

Could there be a problem with the CEL = yes

Passing smog in Cali = not gonna happen. Installing the WR S-pipe removes the secondary cat and a very big fine from the state of California if you get caught. Cali FTL

It does? Thought it was s direct replacement of the stock pipe.

i agree.
last week i took the header out to paint it and do a few more things to it while i install the header i've tried to install in the middle and it didn't seal that well so i did the way it was before like the stock location and i'm going to keep it that way now.

aren't you asking this in the wrong forum but from my experience w/xb2

1. your looking at 1-5 hp and 2-4 tq. i think mines got 2hp and 3tq
2. i've read about how others CEL go on from 10 - 1,000 miles and anytime when you drive 70 - 90mph which ever come first
but for me i've driven 5,000 + miles and sometimes driving over 100mph still haven't got that CEL yet " knock on wood KOW "

so the conclusion is i would highly recommend it.
if i were to have to pay $40 for it i would
