First off, learn everything you possibly can about boosted cars of all types and how/why turbo setups work. Decide on a power goal and don't cheap out on parts. Make sure you know an excellent tuner (or learn to tune yourself) because that alone is life or death. Beyond that, bolt on kits and a safe tune usually net results the consumer is happy with and don't cause many problems when left at conservative boost levels.
One headache after another... What works on one car may not work on the next. The FIC is finicky with crank and cam position sensors. There is no such thing as a PnP turbo kit for the XB. Descendant comes closest but I'd invest in some t-bolt clamps for it. Dezod gave up on a XB kit but maybe some day P-Tuning or Greddy will offer one. Oh yeah, I almost forgot Treadstone. That might work nicely with your Unichip and a re-tune. You can get the Treadstone kit from Ancla Motorsports also. They claim to have designed it.
Thx Scion Fred, hope things get better. I'm gonna take a peak at the Ancla kit. Just poking around, still have not made the decision if I'm gonna boost or not but I need to decide soon, I'm already pushing 45k on my betty but she runs good without a blink..
Thanks. Aside from the FIC problems, the car runs great and I have no regrets. Good luck whatever you decide to do.

XB2's don't seem to have the cult following like the 1st gens did despite the popularity in sales numbers. Despite this, Descendant just released a nice kit for the XB2.

yes lots of racing as usual future mods brakes sways you know the goodies also a new set of wheels 9.5 all around with nitto nto1 for track days will drag the car a few times but mostly autox and trackdays at high plains raceway
That sounds like fun. I should get back into auto-x myself. I never did that well in bracket racing but I won my class in 5 out of 6 auto-crosses with my stock 87 Mustang GT way back when. I had to give it up due to lack of funds. They won't let you rape Porsche 944 turbos and Z28s forever in the Novice class and I didn't have $$$ for soft compound tires, better shocks, etc. back then. I ran the same all-season Dunlops I drove every day.
(adds to bucket list)
BTW, I meant to ask you about your CXR exhaust but you have custom, don't you?
