About how much should I expect to pay for the most inexpensive alarm system installed at the dealer? Normally I would just get it done at some electronics place but I got scared off by another forum thread that said getting the alarm done somewhere other than Toyota could void the warranty.

 

I was told by my dealer that as long as the installer is ASE certified then it's no problem getting it done elsewhere. I would imagine you'll get different answers from different dealers. It's a bit of a crapshoot really. Expect to pay about 500 or so for the scion alarm - more for others. I didn't get the dealer to fit one, I'm gonna get one somewhere else.
