Default Dash Removal.... so close

Ok, so I'm tearing apart my dash to do a little paint work. Everything is loose except for one spot on the passenger side. It seems to be getting stuck around what I can only guess is the cabin air filter....? it's right above the glove box in the middle of the dash. I have tried searching, but could not find any DIY on removal of dash. Any help...?

I found the problem. The dash is screwed into a metal bracket half way under the dash. Problem is, the head of the screw is facing the windshield. I have no way of getting to it. I know others have taken their dash apart before, how did you get around this?
