Default Is the factory-installed SiriusXM compatible with aftmrkt head units?

I have the factory-installed SiriusXM unit in my 2012 Scion xB. I want to installed a double DINhead unit. My installer thinks I need an adaptor in order for the Sirius to work. Anybody know if that's true?

The part number is PT546-52080

Not going to work sorry. What kind of headunit are you going to get I can tell you exactly what siriusxm unit it will use.

Most new units (except pioneer and a few others) are switching to the sxv200v1. We sell it for $70 at best buy.

If your going pioneer you will need either the gex-p920xm or the sirius cd-sb10 w/scc1.

If you already have an current sirius xm account on new units you will need to get a xm branded product if you go with pioneer as sirius and xm are still seperate accounts.
