I have been thinking about the e-brake mod... It seems the rubber can be taken off... I have never taken the center constel out, but it might work... take the rubber off and trim it so the aftermarket piece will fit... who knows...

 

I did it in my SxA, Same style as the ebay link you linked to, but in red.

i actually removed the whole ebrake assembly so i can cut the rubber around the handle and pull it out. then the new handle slipped over no problem.

when reattaching the ebrake, make sure the tension is correct to the brakes
