Default JL Audio Stealthbox for xB

Sent an E-mail to JL audio, This is what I got back for a reply:

I do not have any specific information on this model year xB. The previous model years had 6.5” speakers in the front and rear. There is chance that the 2008 is the same.

We will be offering a Stealthbox for the previous style xB. We are not sure if this new Stealthbox will or will not fit the new style 2008 xB.

Will the Gen I fit the GenII ???

and umm, they are wrong.... 1st gen xa/xb had 5 or 5.5 inch speakers in the front / rear.. i know because when i installed my 6.5's i had to make spacers for each, and cut out some metal so the backs would fit..
most people do upgrade to the 6.5's though..
you should check out elemental designs... i am sure they have a stealth box in the works already

When JL was designing their stealthbox for the tC there was a guy on here that worked for them and he was getting feedback from the forum, rather rude. On that plus the pricing no thanks for me.

eD has yet to produce something vehicle specific for the 2008 xB, unfortunately.
I'm looking to use quite a bit of their stuff for my xB2. I have asked and they have not yet been able to get their hands on one for "fitting". They have an enclosure that sits under the passenger's side for the original xB that holds a 10" and is awesome! Thing handles 250W RMS, yes RMS, not peak.

I usually shop for JL Audio stuff on line and never pay retail prices. When I have contacted JL TS, They have always been nothing but nice.

I have only used their amps and Subwoofers. I had a stealth box in my 98 Ford F-150 Supercab that fit under the rear bench seat, sounded pretty good with a Precision Power amp.

The Sirius and XM radio tuner is installed under the front pass seat in the new 08 xB's. If you have satelllite radio, I don't think the eD underseat enclosure will work.

JL is giving us another option.

I've bugged you guys twice on it. Trying to keep it from where I become rabid, don't want to seem like just a fanboy. I do love your products though!
As soon as you guys get that all figured out I'm calling up for a nice package

Maybe I need to take a short vacation to the land of corn and prairie......

Actually driving through your area the end of this month Chris. How much time do you need?

Coming back through about a week later too.

Or if you need to make another run to Iron Mountain, you can stop by and inspect my UE install.
