dude. those led's are kinda like 'spot lights'/ they dont have that much of a light spread....... BUT you already have those PLCCS.. they have a nice light spread....... you'll want to wire up a few of those & place them around & see how you like the spread in different places... you take one plcc. solder 2 wires to the contacts.... add one resistor to one wire. then hook to 12 volt!!! I do that & use a 9 volt battery & test placement all around till I see something I like.... then wire up to 12 volt (fused)/ personally I would try hiding 3 of them evenly spaced, tucked under the overhang pointing towards the back of the hole ... jh

Now I wouldnt go as far as to say no. LED's can be put anywhere. Just dont make it visible!!

Really drives me nuts whenu can see the LED. If you mount them at the top of the hole then it would illuminate it well. Ive got some spare LED's layin around.. Ill tape one up so ya can see if you havent bought those yet.

I quickly put a LED strip up there.... Getting anything to stick up there is a _____. I may get some of those LEDS to put up thee, though.

That would require a whole DIY ><

I added a fuse box below the shifter column, it's just kinda chillin there. If I get time I may write one up....
