I have taken out the silver dash parts to paint. Less than a day after I removed the mount for the AC controls, I found that my AC controls are never lit. In addition, when I turn on my headlights, there is no illumination for my radio. The speedo cluster is fine. I don't believe it would be the dash brightness ****, as the speedo cluster is at it's brightest setting. I have no other controls hooked up right now (as parts are in painting process), so I don't have the status of hazard or VSC buttons. I never took out the radio...I did disconnect the battery power when removing the 2 clips from around the airbag. I have pulled all the fuses, twice to check them.
Can anyone give me a direction as where to look? Your assistance is greatly appreciated!

 

plug the hazzard and VSC back in and see what it does

 

OK - so it was in fact, the dimmer switch. Plugged that back in and lighting was restored. Thanks for the suggestion Murphys_Law!
