Default Want to swap iPod for Power

I am just trying to use the ports for USB chargers.

This is what I’m trying to run in it’s place

I would like to replace both but want to tap into the factory wires that plugged into them.

It's possible, but you would either need to get a wiring schematic of the iPod plug or meter out the leads to see which wires are for power. Most likely they'll be 3V or so since the power conversion would have been done in the radio. YOu better off just pulling the iPod port, putting the dual USB in it's place and using the power source you already have for them. It'll be quicker, easier and less complicated.

I was not going to use either plug, I was just wondering if this had been done with the existing harness or if running wires from the cigarette lighter circuit would be the fix.

Yeah, just run the wires from the cigarette lighter. That's how I have mine run and they work great, only I'm using the double plug up by the shifter like you pictured.
