Default 08 xB Road Trip!

Took the family for a road trip this past week, and that meant, taking our new '08 Super White xB on the road!

We went from Vegas to San Diego, then up to L.A., and then way up to San Francisco. And then from S.F. back home to Vegas... all in 5 days! Drove the xB up to 110 mph several times on the freeway, and the body never shook, steering wheel didn't shake... it felt like we were going 55 mph where in reality we were going twice the speed. Smooth ridin' all the way, I was sooooo impressed, and the cruise control is sweeeet!

Also playing around with all the features on the gauges was super sick too!!! Driving in the desert knowing how many more miles til the "E" lights up on the fuel gauge is awesome too!

Also, here's a cool pic too of my xB in Santa Monice Pier... Took the family to the beach and came back to our xB with an unexpected guest waiting...

Nice!

So what kind of mileage did you get? (probably don't want to know the parts where you were going 110. :D)
Did you calculate any of your mileage on fill-ups or just use the computer?

When you say the family, I assume there were at least 3 of you in the car. Any complaints or accolades from the passenger types on road tripping in the xB?

Since you have the Super White at least if your "guest" left a deposit it would not show up much.

Yes, the seagull did left a deposit on the roof, but wiped it off in time before it dried...

There's 4 of us in the xB: me, the wife, 2 kids(8 & 3 yrs old)... and no complaints from the kids. They were busy watching their portable DVD Player... Thanks to Cinderella III DVD....

Also, I would suggest to buy the clear bra before going on a long road trip... FOR REALZ..!!!

I hate to be a spoil sport, but I sure hope you did not have a 8 year old and a 3 year old in the car when you were driving 110 MPH...

Anxious for this answer since I'm about to go west across canada with my mom in her brand new xB, just over one week away.

It's about 1000 miles one way......

Total miles traveled(Vegas-SanDiego-L.A.-SanFrancisco-Vegas) was 1600 plus miles.... I reset all the other features, forgot what I got for Avg. MPH, etc... Will definelty do more road trips, hopefully soon...

I got a good smack on the head everytime I was way over the speed limit from the wife... Can't help it, the ride was so smooth it felt I was going 25mph... Don't blame me, blame Scion for putting in a tC engine in the 2nd Gens...
