FAIL!

I think you have a 3 year / 36k warranty, and need to go to the dealership before you hit 36k miles...

DOUBLE FAIL!

you have a 5 year 60k mile powertrain warranty which covers your engine and transmission!

DOUBLE FAIL ON ME, DARN IT!!!

(Thanks for reminding me drax, I'm almost at 30k myself, and obviously forgot that the PT warranty is 5/60. I lose.)

Question: If you have an auto trans, and it is determined that the shifting problem is with the ECU, it's only covered under the 3yr/36k warranty, right?

I am pretty sure the ECU is covered under the 5/60.

I just hope the dealer ship doesn't try and say its not covered under warranty. Just shifted down today and it wouldn't take forth or third. Its funny that it just came from service department after a ECU failure, speed censors failure, and some other stuff failed. about 3k in warranty repair.

Sounds like the cable slipped. An adjustment and a bright flashlight will help you find your missing gears.

wow $3k on warranty repair.
how long have you got the car?
how many miles you have on it?
this doesn't happen to scions i've haven't heard anyone having that much problems as you have w/your car.
on the good side its still under warranty
hope you can get it fixed properly if not trade it in for a new one - rs6 -
good luck
