I highly doubt the xB2 will have the 2.4L motor. If that's the case, then the base price will probably be more than the TC's.

 

i'm always the last to know anything, so disregard anything i say. but, if the xB is being built on the same chassis as the tC, and being designed by the same people ( i would assume, since the pics look a little tCish), that having the 2.4L in there would make sense. dunno though, we shall see.

anyone think about this, if these pics were given to one of the CSI teams on TV, we would have perfect pics of the new xB in an hour or so.

 

Dash is DEF not the same dash... exterior looks close. New xb has it's gauges in front of the steering wheel. That interior looks more like the xd dash with xb outsides...

 

My hope still lies in the option of the 2.4 with a 1.8 standard. Until the release date I can annoy my wife car hope. Yes I am pathetic
269 hp is just asking for a ticket, in my case. 170 would be perfect.
While I am at it, Big ups to forums like this. It keeps it real so we can see through the numers slaped on the sticker. My Corolla is getting 28.7 mixed city/hwy. My eye is firmly on this new xB to pull out something close with added interior space and = speed + better style. Let's face it after we pay the bank the sticker lies again.

In the pics those tires sure look familar. They are the same GoodYears. Look at the edge pattern.

 

I love how these intentional leak pics are at such crappy angles...even if they were released completely unaltered, you wouldn't be able to get any real idea of what the thing looks like anyways. It's done on purpose to create pages and pages of excitement, like we see here on this forum. You don't think Toyota/Scion people follow these posts?!

I dont know what you were looking at in Miami but the xB2 i saw has the speedo in the center, just not as round as the 1st gen.

 

Yep, pretty standard stuff there. I hope they plan on moving it up to the show floor after the introduction, but who knows.

Congrats to all those who get to go to that conference. I remember what it was like to attend the Miami event. The anticipation was out of this world.
