Default BLU Logic - Accessory released for xB

Just found it on the scion site under interior... Basically an integrated blue-tooth type system for our car.

"The BLU Logic® Hands-free System integrates with your factory audio system to initiate and answer calls, enabling cell phone use that is essentially "hands-free."

Price is $299 installed.

Looks like this goes in place of that blank "tab" by our shifter.

The one on Scion.com looks like it was specifically developed for Toyota/Scion:

This is the generic one:

the one on the site is made by vizualogic specifically for toyota/scion vehicles. the only difference is the wiring harness and the button. the wiring harness is made to be plug and play rather then having to splice wires. the button is square and not round to fit the blank tab by the shifter on the xb. i have one in my xb.

How do they handle the microphone, where does it get placed/wires hidden?

have to run the mic wire. u can mount it whereever u want. mines on the front piller. the mic has a piece of double side tape to mount. the hardest part of the install is the mic. all other wires just connect to your factoty harness . the only wire u need to tap is the radio mute wire. the kit is pretty similar to the parrot bluetooth but much cleaner install.

Thanks for the info. Not my highest priority, but since I spend so much time solo in my car driving to appointments, and on the phone, it would be nice to hear better than with a Bluetooth earpiece.

Good find Invertalon, good info w1ck3d714.

It's in the parts bulletin, but I can't find anything more in any of the other documents. There is a website, www.blulogicupdate.com and it doesn't mention it either.

I'm wondering if this Blu Logic will work with the Scion Navigation System head unit? Anybody knows?

It's completely independent from the SNS, but gets wired in such that it cuts the radio volume when you answer a call. At least that's my understanding of how it works.

Does anyone know if the unit offered by scion is the same one offered here?
http://trdsparks.com/displayparts.ph...&parts_id=2848

Sparks is selling it for $180, but I wanted to make sure if it was exactly like the one offered my the dealership.

Cool, that's quite the deal at just over half the cost of what the dealers want. Might just get one of those for myself when the time comes.
