Old and ancient news and please see page three of the second link on this topic for an appropriate response.

Personally, after 2000+ miles in my xB2, I find more to agree with in this short review by USA Today (both good and bad):

I've noticed you gen1 guys are always "community minded" when visiting the gen2 lounge.

Edit: btw, you need to tell your mailman to read faster. I live in the middle of nowhere and have had my issue for nearly 2 weeks.

Mailman? You mean you actually PAY to read that rag (uh, mag?) I read on line for nothing. I guess that comes with living in the boonies!

But seriously, bottom line is that we belong to a national Scion owners club and there are those who love Gen1 and those who are beginning to live Gen2. As long as you're all happy with what you got - right?

Which is it?

As to reading Car & Driver I have made my opinion of it pretty well known.

You cannot take anything Car & Driver says too seriously. They are way more interested in being the Mad Magazine of car rags than a serious automotive publication.

I have been a subscriber for about 20 years and I read it strictly for the entertainment. I have never once used their information as a resource for buying a car (or anything else related to cars). I have, however, shared some of their funny comments and the always entertaining letters section with others because it is funny stuff.
As I have also told C&D directly in a letter to the editors, they need a disclaimer on the cover that states
Not to be used for
actual automotive information
I thought sure that one would get me published in the letters section.

Sorry for the confusion. I printed a hard copy to show a friend.

We agree - If you are happy with what you got, as I am and clearly you are, too that's really all that matters - In short we have two of the most talked about and innovative rides on the roads today. Happy cruisin'
