I drive an xA and people talk crap about it all the time until they get in the backseat or when they are surprised how much I can fit into it once I drop the back seats, plus when I show them the receipt after I fill up from running on vapors mouths drop. Last questions I get after all of that, do they still sell these, how much, and where can I get one. Haters gonna hate friend, hold on to your xB until it falls apart or makes you unhappy, not off of words of people who don't get it or refuse to understand.

I downsized from a "real man's car/truck" and had some reservations at first, but it is just transportation, a way to get from a-b, granted we love our cars and we make them our own, and they do tend to reflect our personalty's.That said it has taught me to not give a .... what the haters think, I call mine a toy car, where I live people drive supercars , literally, even the high school kids drive BMW and Mercedes not base models either. So In my world my toy car is like FTW in my own way, I use mine for work and daily driving and I love it. Not giving a .... what the guy in the Audi thinks , but I don't think he cares about me either I just roll down the window so I can hear the exhaust note.So I love my xb and that's all that matters to me. 16". Spokes point inwards not covering the whole diameter which is why they look even smaller. I plan on going with 17" at some point (dont wanna go any bigger as I wanna keep it less bumpier and less noisier). It's dropped on TRDs. I wish the rear had a bit more drop to give it an 'even look'.

I had a 1is (lexus is300) before my 2012 bx. and you know what? i couldn't be happier!! granted its not a lexus, but i have more room, still can mod the crap out of it, saves gas, not a cop magnet anymore and best of all i can take people around n not worry about leg room or lbs limit for bottoming out.


mods- i got tanabe nf210, 18x8 axis decades, window visors, leds all changes/kit for fog/headlights and leds inside. oh and a japanese speaking alarm. almost the same ____ as my 1is.

when your co-workers do at least one of your car payment, then they can give an opinion of what you have, also if they buy thing thinking in the taste of another person, thats clearly lack of personality my friend, be yourself,be happy with your scion, and stay here, we will treat you better that your coworkers

 

What is this sh|t? If you don't like your car, then get something else. If you like it, but your friends don't, then kick them in the a*s -- and much more than once! It's your ride, not theirs, it only has to please you. Screw everyone else! The xB2 is a great car, if they have a problem with that, who needs them? Move on dude, move on!

 

Honestly damn near everyone talks **** to me because i traded my xB in. Hell there are times when i sit back n wana kick myself in the ___ for doing it haha.

If you enjoy what you drive, keep it. If u feel you want something nicer, more "grown up" then upgrade.

 

When I had my xb1. I would always get insulted by its looks. There are people out there that wants to do nothing but put people down. If you love the car then that is all that matters. I ended up selling my xb1 and I regret it to the point where I'm saving cash to buy a xb again. They are amazing cars no matter if its a xb1 or xb2.

 

When I first got my Gen 1, I caught a bunch of crap because it wasn't a NORMAL car. Who wants to be normal. And when I got my Gen 2, most people at work knew exactly who got it. No question. Plant manager and a couple of engineers had to sit in it and look it over. They were amazed at the room. And the price compared to what they spent on their STATUS rides. I love it. Haters will hate reguardless. I just snicker when their mouth opens and their ignorance comes flowing out.

 

When I bought my 2005 xb1 (in 2004) people called it a tissue box and the similar, "why did you buy that thing?" I wanted to be different and look different... Everyone looked as you drove by though! I upgraded later, trading in the xb1 with 70+k miles to the 08 xb2 (in 2007) and only one or two people (close to me) said the same TISSUE box thing and I really didn't care. I compared EVERYTHING i could (Crossover/MPV) and for the price, nothing came close to what I got in the xB....
Today it has well over 133k, and though it uses oil, i do not care. This week I am changing to 5w30 Synthetic to see what happens.

 

Man that's a clean one too. They are definitely just being haters. I drive a tc as of my roommates, they don't like the Xb model but I think they look nice especially done up. Let them hate, all that matters is that you like the car

 

Dude, ill be compleatly honest. im 22 and was driving my ford ranger too and from work everyday (120 miles round trip) i was in love with it. Anyways i was forced to sell it due to constant break downs. i had to get something new for the reliability and good gas milage. So when i showed up to a toyota dealership the 2012 scion xb was all they would give me for the monthly payments i wanted and i had no co signer. I was pretty upset at the fact i had to drive around a toaster that i had talked sh*t on since the day they came out. Anyways, i tinted the windows as black as possible so nobody could see me and i felt self conscious for about a year. My freinds never talked crap about it like i thought they would. I loved the way it handled and the interior was prime time but i couldnt stand the looks of the car from the outside. The last couple months iv seen some other xb's driving around lowered with rims ect. You one will ever really understand the hate i had for this car but its really starting to grow on me (thus me joining this site) and wanting to connect with others on a mission to trick this thing out and make it my "sleeper" lol.


One day i was sitting at a red light with an open road ahead and this dude pulls up to me in a honda civic with a raspy loud exhaust. he looks over at me and starts laughing at me with his buddy, he even rolled down his window to talk sh*t. I roll mine down and we exchange some "kind words". so after that he goes to blow me away at the light and i said F it. Lets see what this stupid car can do (manual trans). So i drop the clutch, chirp the tires to second and pulled ahead without a problem. i think i was as suprized as he was haha. I pulled far ahead and finally let off at 90mph. I came to a stop about 2 miles ahead at another light and mr civic and his buddy pull up to me again. Him and his buddy were both looking strait ahead and not even talking to eachother. Both with this embarrased look on their faces. I think that was the turning point for me because that has been my mission since. "Sleeping the haters"


Iv been seeing cars on here with minor exterior mods and they look really clean. Im just staring to do little things here and there and im actually really happy with my XB!!! To the point where iv been spending hours on here getting ideas of things to do to her. Whether your staying stock or trying to mod it, this car is awsome and i could care less what other people say. Like everyone else said, its about the mpg, reliability and the fact that you are happy with it.You oviously like it or you probably wouldnt of bought it. Keep it dude!

It doesn't matter if people like your car or not. It's yours. Not theirs. I was sceptical when I bought my '10, but the payments were right, its a 5 speed, and it had plenty of room. Since then, I've fallen in love with it. It's fun to drive, it's as comfortable as most full size suv's, and the fact that I can haul all 5 of my roommates around comfortably makes trips out of town so much easier. No, it's not the fastest car around, but as long as you like it, that's all that matters.

If your friends don't like it, they don't have to ride in it.

I recently saw Chevy Trax and instantly fell in 'love'. Perfect small SUV (not too big not too small) and looked good. Price looked good too. I decided to take a test drive at the dealership. As soon as I sat in that thing, I realized how lovely my xB was! I felt 'trapped' and awkward in the Trax. uncomfortable seats, sh!tty armrest, and overall much less roomier than xB. I could not drive it for more than 2 minutes and returned it fast so I could get back into my xB and feel good. And believe me it did felt so good! lol

My only complaint with xB is that the tires/wheels are too small which makes it look like a 'toy'. I want bigger/taller tires and then I will be at peace.

 

Looks good to me dude, screw 'em!

I get nothing but compliments from my coworkers, especially after they check it out up close and see the interior (mostly my stereo system).

My friends on the other hand like to give me a hard time because I too have a crimson (aka purple) xb2. Let them hate, and if they continue then tell them to buy you a different car.
