Diversion Panel/Radiator cover
anyone know if any company makes an air diversion panel? I really don't like the plastic stock radiator cover for shows.
also, I dont know what theyre called, but those plastic button kind of things that keep the radiator cover on, i lost most of mine.... anyone know where i can get new ones?

Here's a pic of mine. Not my favorite pic. crappy cell phone camera.. but you get the idea of the installed, finished look.
as for the plastic fasteners... they're dirt cheap even at your local Toyota/Scion dealer. Hell, I broke one of the stupid things eventhough I was being very careful in removing them for the install... and they were such a cheap part my local Toyota/Scion dealer just gave me a few of them for free. Of course I do have an "in" with them... but even if you have to pay for them shouldn't set ya back hardly anything at all.

Hell, worst case, you could have a good local metal shop fab you one off measurement specs they could take from your xb2. It's not very difficult since it's just a cut & bent sheet of aluminium. That's what people I know of were doing back in the early days of Scions before companies offered an "off the shelf" part solution. They just made their own.

No one makes one for the 2nd gens yet that I know of. I've been looking. And Mouse, it's much more than just a bent piece of metal. We have bends and curves and dips and raises in ours. It's not flat like ya'll tC ones.
I think Password JDM is working on a carbon fiber one. That's what I'm wanting.

Yeah, one would have to be made. Metal would be a pain due to the many recesses, angles, and curves. It would be do-able in fiberglass with a carbon fiber overlay maybe possible. The weave might not look quite right though.
What about just picking up an oem one off ebay and painting/wrapping it with carbon fiber?

I totally understand the want for the anodized metal ones, but seeing as no one makes them, it might be a decent alternative for < $100 ($50 for the part, $25 for paint or carbon fiber wrap) until one is made.

well for one, theres no need to buy one off ebay considering your car has one on it already, and two, thats just like a really cheap walmart/advanced auto parts store mod that i dont want on my car.
Just a suggestion :D
Properly painting something can turn out really nice though, not just 3 coats from an autozone spray can (IE: many people on here have painted/paintmatched their valve covers and they look amazing).
Hopefully you can find what you're looking for soon!
