I like to head north on the 51, at around 90 you can realy feal the g loading in the corners. Then head east on the 101, here you can realy open it up pushing the neadle up past 100. Go west on the 202, here the highway widens to 5 plus lanes most cars are going at least 75 so pushing it up to 120+ is fairly comfortable. 30 minutes is a good time, 20 minutes ya right.

For even more fun do this with a three drug buz, me I'm old school so I go with a mix of coke acid and weed, but you kids might perfer extasy meth and lithium or whatever your parents have extras of. D unit you might want to try zanex prozac and thorazine.

I was being sarcastic while trying to persuade people not to try to max out at 130MPH for obvious reasons in an XB. Next time, I'll wrap my text with the [SARCASM]... Me and AVODude already kissed and made up while respecting each others opinions but it is pretty crazy you work for the Department of Public Safety (DPS) and made that comment.

110mph was practically the speed everyone went on Floridas freeways. There are some places near my house where I could max out the car and not really have anyone else on the road during that time. That's safer than going 50 in a 35.

The problem with speeding on a public highway isn't how large, open, and clear it is; it's the fact that it isn't kept clean and free of debris like a race track.

Trust me, a rear blow-out at even 80mph is difficult to recover from; and a front blow-out could be deadly.

My outlook on it is that just so long as you're the only person on the road then what you risk is on yourself. It's different if you're going 120 down a freeway with traffic. The place I'm talking about is just a country road that doesn't see a lot of traffic.

TX has a reasonable 65mph limit in the cities & 85mph speed limit outside ... and that's not maximum, ala Californiastan with it's 75 MAXIMUM.

Yes driving over 100 is unsafe & unwise but on very open EMPTY roads, why can't judgement decide. Whenever I've done it, in the back of my mind I know I think, fxxx if I blow a tire now I risk my life & my ride.

seriously going more than 100+ in any car is unsafe, all it takes is a tire to blow and your done. No matter what car your in idc what it is...i agree with you.

anything will feel stable at those speeds on a straight line..... Dont know if i got a lemon but at 40 mph on mild cornering felt un controllable.
