I was born in S.F., and live in the Bay Area. I just don't like dealing with the clutch on all the steep hills, even though I am quite capable. And besides, then I'd have to put down my cup of coffee.

BTW, the RS5 at Putnam Toyota/Scion in Burlingame is a showroom model that they have accessorized with most of the TRD stuff: 19" wheels, rear sway bar, front strut tie bar, axel-back muffler. When I asked why they didn't put on the TRD springs also, I was told "not everybody wants them." Apparently everybody does want to spend $3000+ on the other accessories.

I actually talked to Putnam first about the 5spd RS5 before going to SF Toyota because I didnt want to drive there to get it.

no hate. i just wanted to point out that there was one at putnam. i caught glance of it a couple times while driving by but never had the time to slowly check it out. i was told by a overzealous passenger that the shifter was different so thats how i thought it was the manual. otherwise i just figured it only had the wheels.

congrats goldmember!! welcome to the club!

Default GOLDMEMBER #58...RS5 IN ANNAPOLIS

Put in Cold Air Induction and Sport Muffler...along with Billet Grill...waiting for 20X8.5 Niche Game front and 20x10 rear on 225X35X20 and 245X35X20 Nexen N3000...due Friday...waiting is painful.

TRD Sport Muffler...immediately dropped in a low note.

The Cold Air and Sport Muffler turned this head turner into a Low-Throated Growling Beast (used to have a 1999 Mustang Cobra...don't match the 8 cylinder growl...but respectable) that is starting to attack my 28 MPG commuting average...got the car two weeks ago....stoked.

Nah, it's not that bad. I've driven my 5-speed in SF, it's actually more comfortable than auto IMHO.
