Default first wax - how soon after purchase ?

I bought my scion xb2 in March. When should it get its first wax. I live in Texas where it gets very hot in the summer.

Thanks

As soon as you want to.
If your concerned about the paint being cured,
It is.

well they say every six months, but i tend to do it every three months. especially here in texas. we bought our XB in Feb and I waxed it by the end of April. I use an electric buffer with a moist microfiber fiber pad to apply it and buff it off by hand. it only takes about 30 minutes, and in the long run you vehicle will look brand new for years. i call sunscreen/chap stick for the paint

you could wax it while it is still sitting at the dealership ...

i try to wax / polish real good about 3 to 4 times a year ... with 1 to 2 times in between those with a detail spray ...
