In the past few weeks www.FORJWORKS.com was very bussy finsihing up new prototypes parts for the gen 2 xbs. At the same time in less than a week putting together as a new on going project and build owner of Forjworks Paul Higashis XB. It has been sitting stock for over a year and finally got a huge make over for the Pure ExpreScion Show Off 5 in Hawaii that was yesterday.
This car will be an evolving project car and isnt half done yet. and what is posted we hope can help people decide on what they want to do and my hounest OPINION on why and what parts were used for what reason.
The suspension that went into this car was hawaiis first Easy Street Set up. He had ordered the Digital Set up in which wasnt used becuase of known system failures and un reliablity due to past bad experiances with this controller and I wanted a bullet proof set up for the shop car and replaced it with manual switches and dakota digital gauges that is 100x more reliable and simple. With myself and Paul the install took just over 2 days. THe kits comes with 1/2in lines in which I always wonder why? those hoses are way to big for a scion and hard as helll to bend and lifts the car way to fast so all lines and fitting were replaced with 1/4in lines and compression type fittings that are way more reliable than those push on fittings that tend to leak as they get older becuase of an o ring in them. We did use the Manifold set up that came with the Digital Set up in which get high praises from myself and helping to save space and a clean install. Set up was all done in the trunk in the spare tire well with the spare tire still in the trunk with use of a prototype lid that housed all the components cleanly.
The wheel we had on anouther car that were just used temp baisis till he gets his new shoes... ??? Forjworks wheels???? wait and see. but these wheels were far for show worthy and alot of elbow grease went into getting these unknown wheels back into shape and a custom forworks center cap had to be fabricated becuase they were missing. there 18x7.5 for from what we wanted but made the best of it.
Prototype part that were installed on the car were as listed
1 Prototype Half eyelids
2 Prototype candy red tail light covers
3 Trunk Lid with cooling fans for air install
