Throwing a P0138 code and have noticed it could be a loose gas cap. I noticed mine doesn't click at all.

Can someone with a 2nd Gen xB tell me what your gas cap does? Does it click? How many times?

Yes, tells you when it is secure and you can stop turning. Prob need a new cap.

 

Mine tightens then gives a few clicks when fully tight. So if yours isnt doing that id say just get a new cap. You can get an OEM one on ebay for around 20 bucks

 

when i tighten it, i usually get 1 click. then i close the fuel door and im off.
