Default Hi I just bought a Scion XB

Hi everyone. I'm new to the forum and Scion community.

I just purchased my first car, a Scion XB 2008 in Super White a couple days ago. I believe it's the first one sold in South Bay, San Diego, CA. =)

I got it pretty basic but maybe some mods in the future. We'll see. =)

Default Me too!

I just bought a Super White Manual trans today at Longo. It's so nice. I feel like I'm in a luxury car. There is so much power and it's so roomy inside.

Mine's bare bones too but I'd like to add stuff down the line, like springs, rims, and nav.

Congratulations!

Congrats to you too!

Yes I know. I love the inside. At first I was looking for a 2006 xb but the dealership only had 1 which was modified to its limits. Luckily when we arrived, there was a new xb fresh off the truck and I fell in love the moment I drove it. =)

I will say that the inside and the drive experience is SO different than the 06.

Mine comes this week. Counting down . . . .

Just got ours on Friday. The dealer says he thinks we were only the 4th people in Houston to purchase one, I know we are definetly the first people in my town.

I don't know what Scion is doing, but the four Toyota/Scion dealerships closest to me have the follow stock of 08 xBs:

Dealership 1: Two blackberrry crush
Dealership 2: Two nautical blue
Dealership 3: Three super white
Dealership 4: Two hypnotic teal

I wanted a xB in black sand pearl so I have to wait until the dealership I went to can get one in.

I bought a Black Sand Pearl last Wednesday for $17.1K and after tax and licence it was $18.8. At the first fill-up yesterday I got about 28 MPG (279 miles with 9.7 gallons) but I've been driving gently for the engine break in.

from what I have been told by my dealership, he told us not to gently break in our new 08 xB. You should drive it like you would normally, the computers in these cars are learning computers (cant remember what they are actually called at the moment), but to get the best performance you dont want to start them out gently, just drive normal.
