Hola People!
What's up everyone. My D-Day is coming closer and closer. I stumbled upon Club xB a little while ago, and just now found this forum.
I currently own (well until Monday afternoon) a 2008 Infiniti G37.

But it turned out to be a Lemon, and I won my case in Arbitration. So now its time for a xB, little easier on the gas, and still looks cool. As of right now, I've got a Super White 2010 coming into port on August 24th, so hopefully 4-5 days after that I'll be able to go pick it up from the dealer. Pretty tough to find a white xb automatic I've found. I'm going to have to rock a rental until its delivered.

Among others, the problem that got it repurchased in the end was a continual problem with a Evaporative Fuel Leak. I had the car in to the dealership 6 times, telling them I get a CEL, which the code comes up as Evap. Fuel Leak. All they kept telling me time after time was "make sure the gas cap is tight." Like I don't know how to tighten the cap.
So after a couple times I called Infiniti Consumer Affairs to see if they could help me get the dealership to actually fix the problem. So they started by replacing my fuel cap, didn't work, then replaced some other part, then by the 5 time they replaced the entire filler neck assembly, and some valve. Only after calling the Bureau of Automotive Repair and getting that organization involved. Then it happened a 6th time, to which their reply was "well we don't know, try tightening the gas cap." I also called Infiniti C.S. again to get them involved.
So after getting the light cleared again, I was driving and sure enough, it popped on again, so I called the BBB and filed and arbitration suit against them. Gave my deposition, and finally was granted the repurchase and refund of my down payment.
Now its just a waiting game until the xB is delivered.

Yeah, they are two different types of vehicle completely. But the key things I didn't like about the car was 2 doors, no trunk, crappy city mileage, pumps premium, weak clear coat, touchy leather, and no backseat room.
The xB is almost the complete opposite. I can't wait to be able to throw my mountain bike in the back of a car again.

If they had smoke tested the EVAP system, they would have found a leak in the hose on top of the tank. We have seen this several times in that model. Sorry for all the troubles though......
Hay, by the way..... where is the sealership in question? I wonder how much they would sell me that sweet ride for, considering they "CAN'T FIX IT"? Tell them I will give them $500 cash for it!!!! Then I will put a $2.00 rubber hose on it and move on with life.

BTW, just got an update from my dealer, the car is going to be ready for me to pick up on friday night. Wu hooo!
Damn........the dealer said the car might be delayed until Aug. 24th. They got my hopes up for this Friday, and just crushed my dreams. Well not really, but still a bust I have to drive around in a rental still. I had an appointment for Saturday to have the windows tinted too, now I'll probably have to reschedule that too. I thought I'd have a 2010 xB with Tint to post up by next week. Oh well, now I have time to order in my Bat from vinyl overlay and have that put on as well. Every dark cloud has a silver lining.
Yay! Got it last night, and glad to be in a car of my own again. I took some pics and then in typical fashion forgot my camera cord back at the house. Unfortunately all the cords in our office are a different size than what I need. But I'll put some pics up later just to prove I got it. It's not like you guys haven't seen a bone stock white xB. First order of business, windows get tinted Saturday, and if it's not too hot and I've got some motivation I'll maybe debadge the rear xB emblem, and look to paint the Scion logos black.
