Default iPod/Aux connectors...

Hello, I am trying to find someone who has replaced there factory stereo (newer xB) that has the iPod/Aux connector that have one harness from both of the connectors into one plug under the console. I am looking to use these in a Scion stereo install I did on a Tacoma. If anyone has these and they are looking to maybe get rid of them or sell them, please let me know....Thanks!

i bought an ipod just because this xB has this connector.
Is there any tricks to controlling the music being played?
All I can do is go forward or back one song at a time. I have 3,000 songs loaded

you can create playlist on your ipod and organize some songs in to folders. Then the Scion HU will be able to play songs through your playlist, songs, or the artist

I cannot get this to work. I did what you said and made a bunch of play lists in iTunes and then synched the iopd with only the playlists. Same thing.. I can play one song at a time and only go one sung up or down. Thats no different then when I loaded 2000 songs without any playlists.

How do I select an artist or a playlist on the head unit.

I like XM better!

check your manual, it was a bit tricky to get the hang of, but you can select by category/artist/most played/play lists...similar to on your ipod, you don't have to go one song at a time....

edit

wait...actually, i would imagine that it depends on the capability of your ipod to begin with, not itunes -- can you select via playlist or artist on your ipod itself?

yes i can on the Ipod. Its a 20 gig Classic model and yes... everything is sorted and selectable by artist, playlist, album or genre. I bought it for $99 from Buy.com I only got it because I can connect it to this xB so I havnt used it much. Trying to find a manual on the head unit. no luck there.

hmmm...so you can scan back and forth by pushing the **** right or left.
How 'bout when you push the **** up to get to the main menu, then just push it in (like a button - not in any direction) it doesn't give you a different menu?

Thats it!! Thanks so much. I push it in and I get to choose from any submenu.. artist -- genre- play list.
This is much better. Thank you again!! I guess I am getting old and this new fancy stuff stumps me sometimes.
