Default Just bought a 2010 xb...

What to do with it now?
I want to do the hypnotic teal with white accents..you dig?
And does the TRD Lowering Springs give a good sport stance..i dont want to void my warranty with any other coilovers. What else would you do with this car?

FYI -- the TRD springs are not coilovers, they're springs.

You could do the three basic things most people do, intake, headers and exhaust. And I'm not too sure about this but I don't think you'll be voiding your warranty with aftermarket coilovers?

This is very helpful, i am getting intake headers and exhaust from trd, but i really dont want the lowering springs from them.

I didn't know TRD had headers? You could always look into Tein, Tanabe, Hotchkis and Eibach lowering springs. There's a whole selection out there, you could even dish out a couple hundred more and get a whole coilover damping set.

There is no TRD header (singular, not plural). However, there are some good ones on the market. Weapon R and Strup for example. By the way, congrats on your xB -- looks good !

What, your xB isn't a V8?

Congrats on your XB. I myself have a 2010.

This is just my opinion, but I would skip the performance parts. The amount of HP you will gain from an intake and exhaust is negligible. You will not feel a difference. The XB is not a sports car.

True but freeing up the intake/exhaust will give a few more MPG and give the car a sporty tone. These cars are made to be modded whether it be cosmetic or performance!

You won't make back the $600+ you spent on those parts by getting a couple more MPG. The sporty tone sounds good, but spending $400+ just so your exhaust sounds cooler isn't worth it to me..

How does that work anyway? How do you get more MPG when the computer is going to add fuel when the airflow increases.

I just couldn't afford to take that option. My old Chevy C10 350 was pretty bad on gas, and it really wouldn't help to have a wagon that chugs at the pump. I settled for the four .

PS. It would have been fun though !

I just assumed that less restriction and smoother air flow meant better highway mileage.

Personally, from my experience with my current two vehicles, at the same performance level, I think it does! My impression is that the better an engine breaths (both intake and exhaust), the more efficiently it runs. As in less wasted energy due to turbulence and constriction. Still, just my 2 cents !

Let's not question the performance mods, it's just that cool.
