It's not the same engine so this is probably worthless, but my Gen 1 does exaaaactly that very same thing. Maybe 1 out of 5 times I'll turn the key expecting a start up, and already be in drive before I realize the engine hasn't started yet.

30,000 miles and I'm still in great shape. I think we're just impatient.

I have a 06.5 and I just turn it one time and bam, it starts up. No rur rurs.

Default 2008 Xb...Overheating

I just bought a 2008 Xb as well and it does smell very hot after I drive it. Does anybody know if it is definately not a problem. As in 100% that it is not a problem. Any input would be greatly appreciated. thanks to all. I love my new car

yeah it dosnt seem to be a problem... the smell is just from the new engine breaking in. as long as your guages read fine then its not a problem.
