Today I did a couple more cosmetic mods to my car. Went from 20% tint all around to 10% with the entire front windshield done in 50%. I used to make fun of people with the front done but 50% is almost nothing...just a little reflective. The 5% sunshade at the top gives the rest the illusion it is not done.

Then I applied the new decal

 

looks good but I'm sure it's illegal

 

Toaster mafia decals are not banned yet in Oregon.

I know, just playing around.

Here in Oregon my car is 25% UNDER the legal limit of 35%. The front window can't be done at all. Call me a rebel...or just know I have a job that might help me get off.

Don't see a point tinting unless you go at least 30% up front. The difference for the FUZZ is minimal from 30 to 35%, go big or not at all. Just kidding, I understand. Here is what 10% looks like with the front window done...ridin' dirty!

In the durrrty south (South Florida) we ride with 5% son. That's how we do.

I was playing with the slang lingo, I wasn't playing with the 5%.
That's common in South Florida, doing 5 and 10% it's just hot down here!

 

If I could do it over, I would actually go 10% over the back (thus making it 5% or bit lower) and 5% up front, with a 30% front window. I am scared to travel to my parents house up an hour north though, the FUZZ up there is strict on tint cuz they got nothin' better to do.

All of my vehicles, my wife's, mother's, friends, etc. down here in SoFla usually have 5-10% on all windows and a glare strip on the front windshield, not generally the entire windshield. Protects the interior, keeps some heat out and gives you some privacy. In 14 years or so of driving I have been hassled once on tints, but then again the rest of my car never looked like something that could come out of a cereal box.

 

i have the front strip done on the civic. It helps a lot
