Default manit reqd light.......

hey i was just wondering if anyone else has had this issue? my xb has 4500 miles on it asd my maint reqd light comes on and flashes for about 30 seconds and then shuts off when i started my car this morning i turned the car on and off a few times and it happened every time. at first i thought it could just be the cold start being 30 degrees outside but it still did it when the car was warm. it is kind of puzzling cause my xb runs like normal but still flashes at me when i start it. any input or help would be very apreciated, thanks guys

please, for the love of god people, READ YOUR OWNER'S MANUAL!!!

your cars come with one for a reason.

flashback to 2005,

"hmmm...how strange, my mait. req. light has come on, i wonder why??? hmmm...according to the owner's manual, it is just a reminder to get my oil changed, and is nothing to worry about, and you just reset it when you get your oil changed. what a useful feature!"

A wise man once said "If all else fails, read the instructions."

Just to make it really easy for you joeyjoexb:

well once you change the oil and filter resetting the light is easy.

set the trip meter to "A"

turn the key to the off position.

hold the trip/odo button

keep holding the button and turn the key on.

keep holding it untill the dashes on the screen go away and the light goes off.
