those are the 5led wedge bulbs. the single 194 led bulbs were a joke. So get the 5's. The reverse light is uber weak.. i found a SUPER SUPER white bulb for it but its 25 bucks for a reverse light... gotta think about it some more.. i might try to relocate the reverse light anyway... but i got most of my bulbs from super bright leds.com

So do dealers just pinstripe them here and there? Like the stripe that comes on a roll at the auto store?

I guess I'm lucky enough to live in an area where the scion dealer was pretty much clueless about scions all together, they dont sell very well in town I guess.

Hence my ridiculous amount of questions because every time I ask the people at the dealership they give me a blank stare and say "I dont know?"

well it was a vinyl pinstripe.. that started as a single, went into 2 stripes and back into one at the end. i didnt take any pictures of it. but it was decent. i just prefer the solid white-ness of my new car. sorry to hear about the bum scion dealers up there... its a shame.

Silverstars I believe are said to have a color temp of 4300K. That would be one way you could just upgrade bulbs and not necessarily get an HID kit.

schmohey take a look in the manual it will help you. You have to remove the panel on the hatch.

I just pulled into auto zone and removed a front turn signal bulb. The number was 1157's The ones i purchased were silverstars and have a blueish chrome glass color. You could also look online for some amber led 1157's online.

To access the plate lights, u open your hatch, and then just pull and remove the black panel. It takes alot of pulling to detach it. Then their just normal twist and pulls to get the bulbs out. Once its open the bulbs are 194's i believe
