Default Need Help wierd electrical issue - lots of lights on

Hello,
I have a 2011 Scion xb.

Short Story -
Traction Control, Brake, ABS, Power Steering lights on and will not go off.
I have no power steering.

Long Story -
It has 37K on it and I have had no issues with the car until Friday.
Thursday night my boy left the dome lights on in the car and Friday the battery was way down, car would not start and barely lit the dash up when I turned the key. Car is a stick so I rolled out of the drive way and pop started it right up.
Car would not idle and I had all kinds of lights on the dash. I tried to go down the street but it appeared that the car did not have any battery and the alternator was not working? So with the down battery I pulled the car back into the driveway and charged the battery. I charged it back up and the car has no issues starting again but all the lights on the dash are lit up and will not go off.
I tried 2 different times to with both battery cables off the battery for 30 minutes and no change, car starts up but lights will not go off.

I looked at fuses, fusable links both under the engine and under the steering wheel and dont see anything blown. (not saying there are not blown fuses, but I dont see them )

Where to start?
Please help.

My battery was at 12.9 before I just started the car.
After the car was running it checked at 12.4 so I assume the alternator is not working.

I tried to pull the codes with my scanner but it fails to connect.
(this is an older scanner... not sure if it is a problem with the scanner or the car)

Any ideas?

thanks for your help in advance.

I would replace that battery. Check the alternator make sure its charging. If you have a bad battery, your dash will light up like a Christmas tree.

I replaced the battery, no help.

The alternator does not work along with the ABS, power steering, traction control, radio, heat, a/c wont come on, no fan. No power windows.

I checked several fuses but they all meter and look good. I am thinking it is one of the fusable links that I can not see / meter.... really baffled.

It is at the dealer now... hoping I dont get r@ped.

The power steering light is the one that scares me. If somehow the CPU for the power steering was fried it is costly to replace as it supplies power for the electric power steering we have in our cars.

Well it was the 30 amp am2 fuse and also we left out an icu #2 fuse when we were searching for fuses.

All in all 189 for 2 hours of troubleshooting including 2 fuses, plus a new battery that I did not need at this time.

Dealer said it was OK to pop start the car, not sure why the initial fuse shorted.

thanks for the help
