They are not the same. The FRS is about 100lbs lighter than the BRZ because of it being scion with basic stuff. Just basic stuff, no climate control or leather seats. Thats why its so much lighter.

Also, "Scion" is less letters than "Subaru", which contributes to additional weight loss.
