My dealerships body shop manager was nice enough to snap some pictures while the TSB was being performed without me even asking! Take a look!

 

So all they do is drill into the welds a bit? Or am I missing something......? Did they void your warranty because of your TRD CAI & HIDs?

 

The TSB requires a punch be used to create dimples, and a screwdriver be used to bend a flange. It was performed under warranty.

 

TSB? looks like a bunch of blurry pics to me, with some dimples where there weren't dinples before..
can you give some more info?

What is TCB? I am lost....

 

after they release the car they might find a defect so they release a TSB so you can bring the car back and have whatever is wrong with if fixed under the warranty.

Yeah it was a joke, I keep hearing dealerships will try to "void" peoples warranty for the dumbest things.

I think I'm going to skip on the TSB, I don't here any of the symptoms.

 

Well Im kinda f'ed if I gotta have this done. I hope they dont F, up the ax side skirts. Im gonna check my vin and drive home with out the radio on and see if I can hear something. Never really paid attention or noticed anything, cause i always have my radio up

 

My noise would only occur over very specific bumps. It had to be below ~25°F, and I had to hit a bump or series of bumps that would only affect one wheel. As in, a smallish pothole on one side would work, but not a transition or a speed bump.

 

Hmm..well i dont have to worry about that kind of climate here...but I will keep an ear on it.

depends on the dealership, most of them denie it exist and you have to fight ot have it done.

 

TSB = Technical Service Bulletin

Makes dealerships some decent money when they do them because the manufacturer pays them out.

Pretty much they find things like "There is a weak weld at 'Point A' so we have to do this to it to stop making a rattleing, creaking, or stress noise"

and depending on your vehicle and/or dealership they will take care of all this for you.
Its not really NECESSARY but hey, its usually free so if you wanna get it done. go for it
