Default Quick question about headlights

On my '94 Corolla and my '05 tC if the headlights are on after I turn the car off, and i open the door, the lights turn off. I got so use to this on the Corolla that when i found out the tC did this, i almost wet my pants.

So the question is, what does the '08 xB do? Warning sound, lights off? (Haven't had a chance to play with the car at a dealer yet) I've seen variations. I know the 1st gen xB doesn't turn the lights off.

Thanks in advance

They do not turn off. There is just a warning buzzer.

I too like that feature and it is very easy to get used to and very irritating when you go from a car that has it to one that does not.

I have often wondered where the logic is when a manufacturer puts that feature on some of their models and not on others. :?

yea, i really couldn't believe that the tC that was 11 years newer had the same feature as the Corolla.

oh well I tend to turn my lights off all the time anyway, I just liked that 'just in case' back up of the car turning them off.

Though, there is a bug with em, if the switch is on - but lights are off, and you get in the passenger side and put in the key (i do this often to grab CDs) the lights will turn on, but stay on when you're done. Walked away from the car several times like that.
