Default Quote of XB2 in Houston area

Is there anyone experienced buying a XB2 in Houston? I got a quote from Ron Carter (Alvin) which is nearest my house.

Base MSRP for Auto Trans: 16,600
Destination: 620
Navigation: 1950
XM Satellite: 449
Rear spoiler: 423
Cargo and Floor Mats: 155

which get the total of 20,197. Please let me know if anyone get a quote from any dealer lower than that. Thanks!

they are the same price everywhere you go. there are no deals on these things. the dealer should have told you that.

I got mine in Houston area also.

But they are the same price anywhere in the US.

Actually they're not. SET (SouthEasternToyota) for example, has a bit different pricing than other regions. Dealer prep, etc. is where they differ. You should be able to get a good idea if you price it out on the Scion website, I believe that should be accurate.

You can buy the options after the fact and same some... but hey, 20 grand is 20 grand plus/minus a few hundred.

Yeah, I know. That was just because my uncle made a deal on his acura rl 08 with the invoice price which save him about 2K compare to the MSRP. THat's why I'm just wondering if anyone can get it with invoice price.

Scion's have a set "no haggle" pricing. So you can't really negotiate the selling price of the vehicle itself.

I think it is GST here (Gulf States Toyota). The only thing you are looking at extra is a $400 charge for dealer prep. Some dealers will let you negotiate that a little. But, just like everyone else has said, Scions are "Pure Priced" meaning what you see on the sticker is what you pay. And frankly, the pure price is still less than what you would pay for most competitors at invoice.

This isn't an Acura. If the Pure Pricing covenants were not in place, the sticker would be about 1200 - 2k higher.

The only differences between regions is going to be destination charge (that's on the window sticker).

The only difference between dealers is going to be the "prep fee" or the "doc fee". They'll tell you it's all kinds of things, but what it boils down to is garuanteed profit per unit for the dealer.

save money on the nav/xm and get it aftermarket. Look into the Pioneer Avic-D3. You can get it with steering wheel controls and xm for under 1300 installed.

x2

Also, the D3 looks a lot less inconspicuous and you will get a bigger screen.
