ROGUE STATUS Scion hits Gumball (Aug 9th, 2008) rally up!
Thought I'd post this up to the Scion Fam - we're rallying the troops to make a real presence at all the Gumball3000 stops - so come on out!.
We at Rogue Status wanted to reach out to our people on the forums and call you all to arms. We've got a worked out xB ready to run the Gumball3000 which starts this Saturday. We want you all to come out and see some crazy rides, enjoy some insane parties, and just hang out and enjoy yourselves.
We've got parties happening for the intro at *** Hill in SF, the main party we're throwing in LA, interim stop and bash at the Ivy Hotel in San Diego, and the finale of the US leg at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas. Come out and go nuts, who knows what kind of chaos you'll see.
Below is a breakdown and location of the events.

Look for this car when you're there and come and say what's up!

I've been tracking the Gumball for years. They started at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco several years ago (S.F. to Miami run), and had a tremendous amount of police presence until they got out of California. I'm guessing not a whole lot of speeding will go on during this 1st West Coast leg.

You have to apply and be accepted. They limit it to about 200 entrants. It runs about $10,000 per entry, which includes room, board, and party entertainment each night at the stops. Wherever it starts and finishes, you have to pay to transport your car. Some years it starts and/or finishes in the U.S., but many years it's in Europe. You're also responsible for all repair costs, tickets, and jail costs that may occur during the run. Most entrants are filthy rich business men, titans of industry, entertainers, models, actors/actresses, or athletes.

To get a good idea of what it's all about check out the following DVD's:
Mischief 3000 (the 2002 Gumball Rally), Gumball 3000 '6 Days In May' (the 2004 Gumball 3000), 3000 Miles (the 2006 Gumball Rally)
