Scion xB randomly beeps

Scion xB randomly beeps

Can anyone tell me why my 2011 Scion xB randomly beeps 5 times when it is parked and locked? There seems to be no rhyme or reason to it.

You may want to take your xB to an autoparts store (Napa, Autozone, Advanced) and get your battery checked. Make sure the store you take it to has a Midtronics battery tester as they are VERY reliable and most can check your vehicles charging system. A battery that is either low on power or has a damaged cell can cause all kinds of weird things. Also check your battery terminals to see if they are secure and have no corrosion.

are all your doors closed? hood shut? hatch shut? I have seen hood switches age and tell the car the hood is open when it is shut. unplug the hood switch and see if it stops. (please make sure to shut the hood) or leave your hood open and see if it makes the 5 beeps all the time then...
