Default second gen reliability or problems?

So I bought my xB. I am going to check when it was manufactured (is there a way to tell on the car?) and was just curious, what is peoples experience with reliability so far? What have the major problems been?

Im not sure about checking manufactured date but as far as reliability I have had only one problem, and that was that my passenger side seatbelt height adjustment came off track (it wouldn't move). They took care of it in a few minutes (for free of course) and have had no issues since.

No major issues have been reported though (that I am aware of). Only a minor creaking noise from the A-Pillar on cars before a certain VIN number. If you just bought yours though you should be fine. That's all I know though.

I've driven about 25k miles already (probably one of the highest on this board) through all weather conditions with zero issues. *knock on wood*

The xB is a TOYOTA.

That is all.

well, i have had my car for one day, and I LOVE it. I have one problem though, have others experienced this...

When I am driving and hit anything from about 50+ mph, I start to hear a hissing noise from around the left front tweeter. I cant tell if the noise is coming from the tweeter itself, or outside the car, but it is a hissing noise, and is constant until I drop below 50 mph. Anyone else experience this?

did you feel for air around the windows and doors at those speeds? The car is kinda noisy highway speeds but thats because its basically hollow. Also check and make sure all the bolts and fasteners are tight and all there, the metal is very thin and light and if there something missing it will create a gap and make that hissing noise your talking about..

everything seems tight, it is weird, it only shows up at 50+ mph, and it is a constant sound, and it shows up when the radio is on or off. I can't tell if it is from the tweeter, or the side view mirror, or something else.,,

I'd also like to know if there is a date code somewhere on the car or send in VIN to get date of manufacture?
