Default Sliding rear seat?

I thought I heard that the rear seats slide forwards and backwards a little, is that true?

The little flaps on my XB are slanted downwards between the gap for the trunk and the rear seats when the seats are folded down, and I would like them to sit up so nothing falls between the trunk area and the rear seats. I hope that makes sense.

kdx80boy,
Sorry, the rear seats don't budge, they are firmly bolted to the floor.
The little flaps are part of the spare tire cover, if you want the flaps up, pull the cover off and put them up.

I just checked, and you're right. But to take off the cover I'd have to unscrew it from the trunk as well, which I don't really want to do. So I guess I'll just leave the flaps down.

Also, I found in my glove box two rubber pieces that say to be put in the center of the car somewhere. I forget exactly what it says, but if anybody knows what I'm talking about, can you tell me where they go with pics?

ksx80boy, you don't have unscrew the spare tire cover (if that's what you're talking about. On mine nothing secures the end at the base of the back seat. If I have the two ***** turned at the back and lift up, I can pull the whole thing out.

And I have no idea what rubber pieces you're talking about.

Yeah, mine is screwed in. It only pivots up and down.

And here's a pic of the plug I'm talking about. It says to put it in the center seat extensions.

That's weird that yours is screwed in. The flaps on mine just pull right out, same on my buddy's tC.

Still have no idea where those plugs go.

you kinda need a better pic. i dont know what that even is...

as for the flaps, as said before it is part of the spare cover. it should be able to be removed by the two ***** near the trunk lid

When you lift the cover pull towards you and it'll come right out. Those are just tabs holding the front part in.

Thanks, I'll try that a little later when I get some free time. I'll also grab some better pics of the plugs.

Ok, I checked and you guys were right. The trunk thing is screwed to a pivot, but the pivot just pulls out. So yeah, I just unlocked the trunk cover and pulled towards me and it came out.

And those plugs were supposed to be installed under the vehicle before delivery. No big deal though, I'll just put them in when I get time. They look like rubber grommets if anyone is wondering.

On a side note, if anyone is having problems using their iPod. In order to get to the playlists/artist/etc. screen, I had to click and hold the joystick in for a second or two. Moving the joystick up did not work with mine for some reason. Just a FYI though.

the premium head unit (the one you have based on your other thread) is quite tricky.. just FYI for you though if you power it off (with the PWR button no tricks here) and press and hold the MENU button it will pop up a "secret" menu turn the wheel over to the ipod tab and you can turn direct control on. that way you can select songs, videos, podcasts to play through you ipod instead of the clumsy interface of the head unit. if you dont like that then turn on the secret menu again and turn the direct control off!
have fun!

I keep my iPod set up differently than 99% of people out there, so mine is really easy to use using the head unit.

I create a playlist for every artist. So instead of searching through linkin park, linkin park ft. jay z, linkin park ft. who ever else, I just go to my linkin park playlist and hit play. I recommend everyone setting up there iPod like that.

Does our head unit play videos from the iPod? That would be really cool.
