Default Some general question from TC owner

I currently own an '06 TC. I plan to get something new in the near future and wanted to ask about a few annoying things that I don't like about the TC and see if they exist in the 2012 XB. One thing I hate, and hated since day one, is that when idle at a red light, the TC is not smooth when the AC kicks on. I can really feel it vibrating the car. My wife's XD is smooth and quiet. How is the 2012 XB in this regard?

How is the road noise? TC can be pretty loud but I think the XD is worse.

These are just some general questions I have for now. Thanks for the replies.

soup006 I have a 2011 XB and I don't feel much vibration when at idle and a/c kicks on. Road noise is pretty loud if you ask me but I can't compare it to anything else I've driven... but then again the roads are really bad where im from.

Road noise is pretty bad on the fwy, not too bad for city driving. AC idle is fine I have never noticed anything negative. My biggest complaint about my xb is the 4spd auto transmission. It shouldve gotten a 6spd like the camry.

My 2nd Gen box doesn't have the idle shake issues like my 1st Gen box does. Hwy noise depends on the type of asphalt used, but is some better than 1st Gen.

The tC delivers a different package (appearance and capabilities) from the xB2. Sure, there may be quibbles, but it's appropriate to look closely at what you're looking for, and weigh the differences !

Between my B and my GF's tC id have to say mine gets less road noise, no shake when the AC kicks on. Then again there is also the difference in years. She has an '07 and mine is a '12. Guna have to wait 5 years to see how things get

My xB 2009 get the shakes, but once I seafoam it and clear out the intake valves it does a lot better. Only noticable when sitting at a light. No idea about A/C issue never use it. I still enjoy the large cargo room in my xB over a small 2dr car. My wifes xD is awesome on gas but way to small for my a$$. I'm 6'3" 200 lbs so i have to slouch in the xD to drive it.

I have an o7 tC, wife has 12 xB... There is still road noise in the B, but not nearly as bad as my tc... Never noticed hers shake at all either. On the other hand, at idle in drive with foot on the brake in my tc, it feels like Michael J Fox is sitting next to me.
