Hi hotbox: your reply reminds me: wouldn't aftermarket void the factory warranty (thus my preference for a factory option)? (If so, I would wait until after 3 yrs/36,000 miles to install...and which brand(s) are you recommending? NO leaks?)
You said larger engine: which neighborhood will that be? So it sounds like it's gonna be more $...some idea how much more?
And so just as to clarify: CURRENT will still be available up until new gen availability in showroom around March/April even though production will stop in December?!!
As for consumer inputs, I (think) I vote for sliding doors for both sides for the practical aspect if one was wedged tightly between say two parked cars, you can still open the doors and lounge around like you are at a beach party...speaking of lounge, let's make it that: a la Toyota Concept F3R, Honda Element, Fit, whatnot...just "un-minivan" the minivan look like how a Scion shouldn't be your soccermoms' minivans

current SOULD be . then again that will change with the sales of the region.
it will have the crap arsed 2.4 liter
any high quality sunroof can leak. it's about 90% in the install.
webasto
probably AT LEAST 16k starting

(obviously still with some work but on the same level as a celica swap)
So do installing aftermarket sun/moonroofs void warranty? (The 3yrs/36000miles basic warranty?)
t2B concept shows moonroofs...will those carry over to production? (Really need to know!!)
t2B (oops, xB replacement)...still gonna be made in Japan?
Are ASC (American Specialty Cars formerly American Sunroof Corporation)/Inalfa roofs...good? (Anyone have these installed? How do u like them?) Or Webasto better hands down?
EDIT: added Q: SoCal xB owners...how's your stock cars going up the hills...going to...San Diego? Magic Mountain/Grapevine? Cajon Pass I-15? Santa Barbara? What gear are you in (talking 'bout sticks)?
Scion truck 1/4 scale model (near end of 17 minutes video...think between 16 & 17 minute marks...from scion.com site @ http://mfile.akamai.com/8096/wmv/toy...iling_300k.asx ) announced with t2B...practical (meaning able to haul 4x8 drywall)??? Or just a "show" truck only (meaning small items like mountain bike, an armchair, whatnot)???

this pic not the same as others posted. One was extended xb body no camo.
This vehicle looks to be a complete pre-production model. All the body is camo'd & wheel are 15in 5 lugs which I guess means the next xb will have larger wheels & the seats look different from angle of pic. I hope it comes in the same Orage color.
One question where would a vehicle like this be going?
I would think all testing would be done now. In West L.A. we don't see many camo vehicles around.

The Inalfa and Webasto sunroofs, like OEM sunroofs, cannot leak water into the interior. They may not be perfectly water-tight, but you will never know it, because they have a perimeter gutter that is drained by a tube at each corner of the opening. The tubes go down into the wheel wells or rocker panels.
The only drawback of the aftermarket sunroofs is the floating headliner. Factory headliners are fabric laminated a rigid shell, either without or with a sunroof. To install an aftermarket sunroof, the shell is removed and stripped, and a hole is cut in it to fit the full length of the sunroof track, which is twice the length of the hole in the roof. Then new fabric is stretched or floated from the edge of the roof hole to the perimeter of the shell, to hide the track and motor. The floating headliner therefore spans over areas where it has no backing, and these areas flutter a little with the sunroof open at speed. I think after awhile this might stretch and loosen the headliner fabric. The floated fabric can also be torn or punctured if you are not careful.

I hope the above is true, but a remember awhile back you poo pooing what somebody was guessing about the next be.
Now your saying basically that person was right.
I have one question will next xb have similiar seating to t2b or extra optional seating configuration?

no b pillar. toyota makes all suicides with the structure built into the rear door , and you have to open the front before the rear. i'm not 100% on if it will have both suicides or not but that is what I last heard.
t-ak-bx I don't remember what you are referring to but ok. I know that initially I was told the t2b would never make production but in the last amount of time from talks , reading , pictures i'm going with what is true.

...that's why I vote for concept's sliding doors on both sides (still get that roominess feeling)...
(EDIT: added links since it seems don't let me hotlink PICS http://netcarshow.com/scion/2005-t2b_concept/03.htm

...just so long as Scion does not SCREW IT UP by making it powered like concept--just give me MANUAL and I'm fine. In fact, I don't like anything powered (PW, PDL, cruise control)!!! I'm practical and sensible aight! What if u go into a body of water...and don't cruise control make u less an alert driver as in fallin asleep on long trips? On ANY vehicle of mine including luxury, all I need is A/C, powered moonroof, tunez and I'm ready to roll.
Scion just need to make those sliding doors have two-levels/-clicks of opening if u will. The first click is the door opened enough for the front passenger to get out. The second click is where either front or rear passeger can push all the way opened. And make the front passenger seat swivels. Keep the stadium seating arrangement.
Don't make it too underpowered. Give me the moonroofs like on concept! hotbox05 or any1 in da know, moonroofs making it to production? Still made in Japan even tho just a US-only vehicle?
