Default Strange Engine Noise

ok so ive owned my 2010 XB for about a month now and ever since I got it ive noticed a quiet but strange noise and you can only hear it at idle... while you are driving it goes away and you cant hear it with the windows up so its faint... its not a whining or clicking... the best way i can describe it is like a frog almost sounds like raaant raaant raaant... its a slow noise not fast... I replaced the belt but it still does it... If i have the ac on it goes away if I step on the gas a little it goes away??? It has 43K miles... I also changed the coolant and oil no leakes anywhere... anyone have any ideas??? could this be the dreaded water pump??? here is a vid you can hear it at 30sec mark.....................

You can clearly here the noise the engine makes at idle, If you don't get a answer quickly maybe a Mechanic's Stethoscope could help pinpoint the source of the noise.

I hear what you describe, though the valve noise easily overshadows it. Have you verified all fluids are at correct levels and the engine oil & filter have been changed? Regarding the water pump, have you checked for any sign of pink in the vicinity of the pump (including the overlying hood area, though really doesn't sound like a pump to me).

I just changed the oil myself with mobile 1 synthetic 5w20... radiator has been flushed and filled with fresh toyota fluid... and transmission fluid changed all by me in the last month... I also replaced the belt... I checked for play in the pumps pulley and it was fine also no leak... there is a stripe on the hood but its not pink and thats on most cars from moisture and belt getting wet dirty EXC.. the noise comes and goes I dont know why... its a very faint sound maby im just being strange im **** about my things and just wanted to be sure it was ok

Can't be dead certain, but my guess is there's no identifiable problem. If you take it to a shop, they'll either charge you for things you don't need, or they'll reasonably say there's nothing they can identify as being wrong.
