To my understanding, you can get the Hotchkis bars powdercoated whatever you want. It'll just take a little longer.

Even pink!!!

Can you order JUST the rear hotchkis bar? Anything I find is a pair, including the front sway bar. I just want the rear, and if so, how much?

Call Hotchkis direct. To my understanding you can. I remember when they first released the sways, people were buying only the front or only the rear.

Give them a call and see what they can do. They're great people.

Digon, true for drifting in the rain, thats how I broke my front sway link on my xa.

TrevorS, my bar has held up fine driving 10 hours at 74+mph throughout wva and wester va and I didnt slow down for curves or warning signs, I set the cruse and just steered passing everything but a few suvs that kept up with me.

miketf1, yup, one reason I went with a hos strut brace on my xa so all would match the same red, however they changed the paint to grey. It doesnt stick out as much as RED.

Invertalon, I found the rear bar got rid of the truck feeling or how it will bounce/drift/slide from one side of the road to the other when making a fast turn. On my xa the rear bar made 10% change vs the front installation. It was rather sharpe. I lost the bouncing when doing 80+ on a flat level road. THe urthene end links further firmed it up, so I felt confident to pass betwen vechiles at 80+

Yeah, definitely interested in installing the rear sway at some point by spring. I want to see how much the TRD is changing, cause if I can, I would prefer TRD/Toyota parts, just in case.

for those that say what i usually say: "pics or it didnt happen"

i finally got around to taking it off.. its been dead weight for this long no need to keep it there. lose some weight gain some MPG!

also i dont think there is need for too much fear.. if the sway bag snaps like mine its not going to affect much. first the bolt and nut on the shock has teeth so that it doesnt unscrew itself and the sway bar brackets have lock nuts so its securely held so its not going to violently fall off and cause an accident. just heads up for everyone to keep an eye out

hmm i wonder if it can be re-welded... seems like something that could be fixed... I might look into having a friend throw an extra weld on mine to maybe stregthen it...

dang that sucks how it just snap off. can you get trd to help you replace it since its a flawed design?

trd is redesigning it already. thats why there is a new release date and thats why there is a new part number.

to get it replaced would mean that you would go to the dealer and i think they will probably put the break on my tanabe DFs. plus the old bar is on stop-sale so i wont be able to get it replaced anyways. and by the time the bar gets released and i go claim warranty the mileage would mean that i am out of warranty anyways.

no matter which way im going to buy a new bar. im not putting blame on anyone. TRD is responsible and redesigning the bar, i chose to void my warranty buy using non-toyota springs, therefore i will buy a new TRD bar when it gets released.

I was contemplating between this or the hotchkis, but I stumbled upon the eibach sway instead. I think I might just go with that one.

Good luck to everyone who has one and hopefully they will swap them for you no charge!

Your warranty is not voided by using non trd springs bro.
