I removed my a-pillar tape today...no problem. Has anyone tried removing the tape on the doors?

and the answer is yes. its been done with pretty much every color.

 

however...
the tape on the doors is very very hard to remove.
nothing compaired to the a-pillars..
btw.. I just did that to one of our xBs tonight

 

By the A-pillars...do you guys mean the tape that frames the side windows? I have a NBM and my hubby is trying to convince me that the tape is cheesy and should come off. Since I have a dark color I think it would be OK... I just don't like the photos I've seen of the white xB's with the tape off.

What tape are you referring to on the doors??

A-pillars are the big metal pillars that connect the roof to the body on each side of the front windshield. Dark colors (BSP, NBM, BCM) look great with the A-pillar tape removed. I also think they look good with the window frame tape removed, but this is a very personal thing and you will get people that argue it both ways.

 

OK, I think I get it now. I never noticed tape there...I was only thinking it was around the window frames on the sides of the vehicle. I'll have to take a closer look now...
