Default ....the wait...oh - so - painful....

my new xB was supposed to be ready today, then tomorrow, now maybe not until monday....
on the bright side, we had terrible rainy/windy weather in MA today, so if i had gotten it, it'd be all dirty by now!

I waited an extra week for mine because I didn't want them to drill holes in the bumper. The wait sucked, but well worth it.

I gotta wait until Tuesday or Wednesday for delivery of mine

Picked out a very nice Nautical Blue. It came into the dealer yesterday (Thursday) and they told me 5 days for prep/ yes, ouch.. The only option I went for was heated cloth seats. I have them in my Beetle, and boy oh boy are they nice in the cold.

And interesting question, though.. how long have some of you waited to take delivery?
Took me 5 months to get my New Beetle back in 2001.

Both my 1st gen and my second gen happened to be in stock at the local dealer when I went out to get it, both times being one of less than 5 that the dealership had in stock.

For the 2nd gen I did some shopping around to try to haggle a higher trade-in value and ended up playing them up to $11.5k, which I figure was pretty good.

Well congrats on the new purchase! Like the others said, it's worth the wait, especially if the weather clears

ACK! Got it today!!!!!
I went with Black - loooove it!

I had to wait 2 days because of insurance paperwork delays and they didn't have the satellite radio in stock so had to order it...took an extra day. I had to drive home in the dark though...so tomorrow morning I'll get a better look at it!

Congratulations man! I got the same color too and love it. I read a few people getting really upset with rock chips in the front, so I'm putting on a clear film bra tomorrow. It's pretty expensive, but I think it's going to be worth it.

Didn't have to wait at all, had my pick of the litter. In and out of the dealership in 2 hours, including two trade-in negotiation discussions with the used car mgr. (in another building), finance office paperwork, and detail for delivery.

I'm doing the wait game too. I bought my Wednesday night and will not get it until end of next week.

i couldn't go in during work hours..so had at least a 24 hour wait for insurance/dmv paperwork...then dealer didn't have a black manual, another 2 days...(shorter than expected though)...then the radio issue, all good though, can't say enough about this car!!

Tried out the cool "lounge" seating tonight with my sister riding shotgun, she said she felt like a rock star lounging from the back seat with her feet up while i drove her around...if only i trusted her enough to drive it, could have checked it out myself...not yet...no one else can drive it yet....

i waited a month for my 2nd gen. i actually gave my down payment 2 weeks before they were released in may though. then it had to come off the ship, get prepped at the port, then get put on a truck to the dealer and get my stuff put on/in and get a final prep at the dealer.
