The damping made the license plate rattle much quieter -- glad I tried that !

I feel sorry for ya if you gotta rattle trap but to be nice there aint no reason to complain if something can be done to help prevent the problem ie, dynmat, secondskin, stinger roadkill. just my 2cents. have a nice day. not tryin to be a ______.
Or perhaps the company that designed it could do something about consistent problems with the vehicle?

Then again, I do set my expectations pretty low for a car with a $17k MSRP. I'd be much more irritated if my previous $30k MSRP cars (although they were domestics) had this many rattles.

Guess I got lucky with mine, the only rattle I get is the change I put in the dashboard pocket. Good luck.

The design of the car makes it very stiff. The only place there is flex is at the cowl area, which makes the dash and windshield take the brunt of it.
I have the shock tower brace on mine and I noticed a huge drop in dash noise.

The other sound issue I have is also at the top of the windshield. I haven't heard about this too much on ScionLife, but it creaks like hell at the top and the bottom as well as the a and b pillars.

Think it's worth bringing my car into the dealership? I'm just anticipating them giving me the runaround and claiming they can't find anything wrong with it.
There is a TSB for windshield etc. squeak, creak, rattle. There is a lot of work to fix it so yeah, take it in.
