Larger, higher placed armrest with storage. Electric seats. The end. Perfect.

It's too late to rely on Scion. I would like to find something after market that would help.

I'm patiently waiting for info from an eBayer who does aftermarket. Said they were going to check them out at a local dealer (GA) and let me know.

Hope they can do it.

this certainly isn't meant to be a poll about what you hate about your car.... but c'mon lets be real, there are things that people would have liked to have. Granted most would drive costs up but the purpose for starting this thread was I was reading about some complaints or questions people had about improving ride comfort and noise..... I've come up with a good fix that doesn't require changing coilover's or springs and now am wagering if it would be cost efficient to make this product oversea's and not go broke. Some things are an easy fix w/ a simple bushing, different bolt, etc....

issues with seats or interior plastic feeling cheap I can't do anything about but issues like road noise, possible HUD, or steering wheel LED display are all possible things that with a bit of resourcing could be an easy fix. Well thats' the first step..... next is taking the step to come up w/ the products that would fix or solve the issue w/o costing so much. I'm pretty confident I can produce some bushings that would cost less than $40 to help ease the road noise and apply better ride comfort..... my problem at the moment is to lower the cost I have to order in the thousands, and I honestly just don't know if I can offset the cost to even make it worth it.
The XB is a hell of a deal as it sits. There is not that much to complain about. AND you really need to start with the small things. Bushings are inexpensive & can make a world of difference. These pieces are generally overlooked because they are off the shelf items that have already been engineered for many applications.
Go for it

problem is, to get it at the cost where I can get it down to under $50 I'd most definitely have to order in the 10's to 50 thousand. I'm thinking its gonna be pretty hard to sell that many units to break even. I'd have to sell 250 to break even at $40 per set which IMO is still already a bit much.... but is at the limit at which I'd pay for more comfort and less road noise.

Since this is not a poll, maybe start 1.

The XB is not going to ever be a fast car, quick maybe. It could be quieter. I'd like more quiet & comfort.

A short story - I also have an 05 blower XB that I tightened the living hell out of. had headers - too loud, had engine damper - too loud, the exhaust has the insert in it - with the F1's, summer tires it's quiet enough to go on long trips, in fact it is pretty quiet much more so than the OE. With a 30 shot it's real quick. Still lots of mechanical noise.......

The 2 gen has way more potential for luxury. I could mess with springs, shocks, bars & make it better & still have road noise.

At 64 I'm looking for simple solutions. I think you're onto something simple & inexpensive............

I count 8 cup holders. I wish the two pop out cup holders on the center console would have been AC vents for the people in the back. I agree with the EZ scratch paneling. I wouldn't mind bigger sun visors.

I would like to see another armest for passenger as well being longer and wider, interior color options, mood lighting for the entire cabin, it's about time to have bluetooth handsfree as standard, and lastly I would like to ditch the single reverse light it just looks too odd.

I wish they would have put the sunvisors in there that extend like on the Rav-4. The xB2 has a huge driver's side window and the sun slaps you right in the face because of the big a$$ gap from the B-pillar and where the visor stops

This is one of the things that amaze me about the redesign. The Gen 1's had vents for the rear passengers, under the driver and passenger seats.

Not making massive improvements (or improving the wrong things), I can understand...but it's the things where the designers apparently backslid that are absolutely baffling to me.

The larger condenser & output of the A/C on the 2.4L engine on the xB2 is so much better that Scion didn't feel the need to try and push a little more air to the back.

Besides that, I never ride in the back!

i would like the japan model transmission. it has a auto 5 instead of a 4. which would make gas mileage better.

The 5-speed auto is also in the Camry. I'm suprised they didn't drop that tranny in the xB...I guess it's more expensive, but it makes a big difference in acceleration and MPG. I coudn't believe the difference between the '07 Camry and the previous model.

I forgot the most important improvement I would like on my xB.......telescoping steering column. I have long legs for someone of my stature (5'7") so when I sit where my legs are comfortable, my arms are almost fully extended, which gets very tiring on long trips.

Ride comfort is definitely important to me and helps define a car's value. It's definitely a steal, but lumbar support and armrests would be nice.

As for the one reverse light, I definitely dig it. It helps make it look even more unique. The truth is there should be two of those shiny orbs on the bumper, but then it would look tacky. If it bothers you, maybe consider running the reverse light up to the reverse turn signals? There's a DIY on here somewhere.

That's about all I can think of. I am very satisfied with my car.

Completely agree about the visors. You would have to drive like a grandma for those things to be effective. And the dash materials!!!! come on... better material could have been used without upin the price much. Oh yah... the retarded one back-up light. I feel like I'm the cyclops from Clash of the Titans.

But in all seriousness, love this car! I have had several much more expensive cars and they can't touch the XB for the total package. Scion just needs to make a couple of improvements.

The Xb2 is a very good value for the money, specially when you compare features with the Matrix.
That said, it would be better with the matrix steering colum that telescopes, it is a reach, and the last time I looked in the mirror I didn't have orange fur and long arms.

The sunshades are a reach too and don't cover up much, specially that big yellow thing early in the morning.

Visibility out the back is poor (but better than the matrix) so the backup light doesn't matter. Perhaps a back-up camera system would be good, or lower glass, like the Xb1
The A pillars are too wide and when coupled with that mirror, it hides a lot of stuff. on the passenger side.

Color in the paint would be good, I've had enough black, grey and other dark shades. The special red they have this year should have been a nice deep candy apple metallic. Saw a very nice shade on a vette recently, check out their colors. I think it was the crystal red metalic tintcoat. That would be nice on the Xb.

Is that a bonneville in steve60's sig pic? Nice
