Default What tires came on your new xB ?

I got Goodyear Eagle RSA, although I test drove cars with other brands.

Just curious what is being used.

RS-A here too.

I hate them from previous experience. They don't grip well in the wet or dry, they SUCK in snow, they wear VERY fast, they handle pretty crappy (REALLY crappy when you consider the treadwear, and...umm...they were talkin ____ about my mom?

They are just meant as a rip-off to people who insist on OEM replacement tires only. They have a 260 treadwear, my Falken Azenis RT-615 autocross/race tires on my fiero are 200 treadwear. Pitiful.

Same here. I'm thinking about replacing them before 20,000 miles (maybe even by 10,000) with some Yokohama YK520 P225/50R-16 tires (520 treadwear).

If I were sticking with the stock wheel size, I would go with the Goodyear Assurance Tripletread tires in 225/50-16. They have 740 treadwear, beaten only by the Michelin Hydroedge (800 treadwear, but not available in 225/50-16, only in 205/55-16).

I'm glad someone posted this up.

I have Yokohama AVID TRZ on both cars in my house and love them. See if I can get another set on my moms car.

The Goodyear Assurance TripleTread get solid reviews, but more than a few people complain about increased road noise and several reviews talk about a marginal decrease in mileage with these tires (possibly due to increased traction/friction?).

In any case, I'm willing to live with the 520 treadwear of the Yokohama's if it means less road noise.

I'm no expert, but my experience is that it really depends on the car; the same model tires can be awesome on one car and mediocre on another. I bought TripleTreads for my Mazda based on other Mazda owners' recommendations, and they were a huge improvement in every area, particularly quietness. But on another car, with different size tires or a different front/rear weight ratio or something that changes the acoustic resonance of the body, results could be completely different.
