Default xB Badge Removal, paint, and reapplication...

I've seen this thread: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=20747

But I still cannot find a couple answers. The most important to me is the best way to re-apply my emblems? I am removing them, painting them matte black, and reapplying, but I want to be sure I do it right and don't have them fall off...

Second, does the front scion emblem come off the same way as the rear ones?

I want to do this today, so any help at all is really appreciated!!

I am referring to an xB2 btw.

To re-apply, go to Home Depot and buy a roll of 3M double sided tape. The actual tape is a dark grey color while the strip is red.

The front emblems are just like the rears. I took off my radiator plate to see if it was different, but it was the same as the back-2 pins and taped on the grill.

easiest way is to put the 3M tape on before you paint the emblems--that way you don't mess up the paint when you apply the tape---use a singe sided razor blade to trim the excess tape off.
If you can't find it at Home Depot, any auto parts store (like Autozone or Advance) will have it

Sweet, thanks for the help all. I got them off and sanded, but haven't painted yet (it got dark)! I dig it so much without them, thinking about plugging the holes on the back and leaving it debadged. Then I'd only paint the front and put it back on...

Any thoughts on the easiest way to plug the holes in the back?

I also thought about debadging the rear along with the rear wiper and fill the holes, but all I came up with is taking it to the body shop to fill/paint the holes.

Any idea what that would cost?

I thinnking about removing my front badge, dremeling out behind it so light can shine through, then put a white LED behind it so the Scion symbol is backlit when the lights are on. Hmmmm..
