Default Driver side rear wheel issue!

ok so i had a few people in my car and i noticed that the wheels started to rub. but only on the rear driver side. i went out to take a look at it. and the wheel and tire stick a lil further out on that side. i swapped the spacers to see if it was cause of that. nope so i swaped the wheels not that either. what goin on here? its doesnt stick out much more. but enough to make it rub. anyone else have this issue?

I don't know what he did to adjust for it, but talk to NoLimitz.

Wow that's really weird. Wonder why they did that.

Robox, maybe you could have a shop roll the rear drivers side fender. That sounds like the easiest solution (if that would solve the problem).

I have rolled mine as far as I can without damaging the fender. It is not just a little off. It is off like a 1/2". It really ____es me off, but not much you can do about it.

I know this won't solve the rubbing issue that some owners have due to the rear axle beam being off-center; but I was wondering if a spacer (10mm) could be added to only the rear passenger side to even out the face of the rear wheels against the fender lips. Would that be OK, or would it cause suspension problems?
I only plan on 18x7.5 or 18x8 wheels in a +42 to +45 offset.

I know a lot of VW people that run spacers on all four corners all the time with no problems. As long as they're a good brand I haven't heard of any suspension related issues arise as a result of using them. I have heard of knock of ones not being perfectly flat/round and causing vibrations. You'd also probably have to get longer wheel studs for the passenger side, because the spacer will take up some of the threads.

I know people use spacers on both sides all the time; my question is about putting a spacer on only one side.

I thought I would probably need longer studs.

Thanks MikeInABox.

Ah I see what you mean. I guess I did earlier, but my brain no work good today. It's been a long week LOL.

I can't think of any reason pushing one out 10mm would cause any problems. Unless there's some mechanical/physics/suspension geometry reason they have the whole deal offset to begin with. Maybe BigFieroMan can chime in with his vast technical wisdom.

Yeh Mike, I asked the question from an engineering point of view, so hopefully BFM can enlighten me (and the rest of us) to any potential problems that a spacer on only one side might present.

Please help o-mighty-one!
